Ceren Oran
Ceren Oran (1984, Istanbul) studied contemporary dance and choreography between 2006-2010 at SEAD, Salzburg and works as a freelance dancer, choreographer and soundpainting artist.
Since 2015, she is based in Munich and the artistic director of Munich based dance company, Ceren Oran & Moving Borders. Oran believes that contemporary dance and art can and should be accessible for everyone as an art form and as a practice. With this in mind, her work focuses on dance for young audiences, public space performances, durational performances and many other performance formats to be able to encounter a diverse audience profile. Her companies productions for young audiences such as “Spiel im Spiel”, “Schön Anders”, “Elefant aus dem Ei”, “Fliegende Wörter”, or evening productions such as “Shard”, “Relationshifts” and “The Urge”. She tours internationally and meet different audience profiles all around the world.
She collaborates as a guest director with the institutions such as Atta Festival, Junges Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Elbphilharmonie, Luxembourg Philharmonie, BIG BANG Festival, Schauburg Munich, and many others.
Ceren Oran works very closely with Explore Dance Network, Tanzbuero Munich and she is a founding member of Assitej International's global network: Young Dance Network and currently board member of Assitej Germany.
