KhromaDuo
Eugenio Palumbo, mandolin
Anna Pilleroni, harp
The KhromaDuo, formed by the mandolinist Eugenio Palumbo and the harpist Anna Pilleroni, from 2020 has the aim to rediscover the repertoire for mandolin and harp. In addition to that, they consistently seek out opportunities to commission new original pieces for their instruments.
Over the years the duo has taken part in important festivals all around Europe offering the public an enthralling and exciting musical experience, receiving back much appreciation and great enthusiasm by the audience for the originality of the instruments and repertoire.
Although these two instruments have been associated since the 17th century, the Mandolin-Harp duo lacks in a large amount of substantial original repertoire. Although, at first it is necessary to make use of transcriptions or arrangements of pieces in which the timbre and characteristics of these instruments can make new artistic contributions. That said, the KhromaDuo focuses a lot on creating new music while commissioning to composers.
