Accessibility

The music center and our halls are accessible for people in wheelchairs. We are also a historic building, which means that in certain places, solutions have been implemented that are not optimal.

Our halls are equipped with renewed, spacious places for wheelchairs and a companion or plus one who can always accompany for free.

Reservations for wheelchair spaces can be made by phone through our box office.

Guide dogs are very welcome in our venue.

Accessibility and Seating

  • The Concert Hall has 4 to 6 wheelchair-accessible seats, plus one additional seat for a companion, on the main floor. These are easily accessible via doors C and D on the ground floor.
  • The 'Kraakhuis' is equipped with an elevator.
  • The music center’s foyers are spacious and have low thresholds.
  • The Café and the accessible restrooms are accessible via an elevator in the public foyer.

Reservations must always be made through the ticket line. These seats cannot be selected online. This ensures that these seats are not accidentally taken by people without wheelchairs.

Accompanist or Plus 1

An accompanist or Plus 1 may attend the concert free of charge for people who use a wheelchair or holders of the European Disability Card. We will provide a seat next to you so you can enjoy the concert together. Reservations can be made via the box office

Guide Dogs

Guide dogs are very welcome in our house. Please let us know when you make your reservation. We will be happy to take this into account when selecting your seat.

Accessible parking & access paths

Accessible parking for people with disabilities is available at:

  • Bijlokekaai 7 (photo). This is the flattest access point and the closest to the Music Center
  • Godhuizenlaan 2, near the STAM
  • At Jozef Kluyskensstraat 27, near the entrance to the KASK
  • At Louis Pasteurlaan 2, near the entrance to the KASK café

It is not possible to drive all the way to the Café or Foyer. However, we can provide a volunteer to escort you from the barrier on Bijlokekaai to the Music Center. Please note: this service is only available starting one hour before the performance. Please contact our front desk staff for assistance.
