Public viewing devices are often placed in visually striking locations in tourist attractions to add an extra dimension to the experience. Michiel Vindevogel investigated this phenomenon and created a participatory installation as a result.

Oculus is a series of handmade viewing devices that reframe the outdoor space and activate the relationship between works of art. By focusing the gaze and bridging physical distances, they invite an alternative way of seeing. By doing so, the curatorial possibilities are expanded and different ways of experiencing the works are made possible.

KASK & Conservatorium

KASK & Conservatorium presenteert muziek en beeldende kunst van studenten op het open grasveld van de Bijlokesite. Zes uiteenlopende installaties vormen samen een tijdelijk landschap gedurende de volledige Bijloke Wonderland periode. Op zaterdag 30 en zondag 31 augustus is er als afsluiter een muzikale interventie.
