De Bijloke is one of Belgium’s foremost classical, jazz and contemporary concert venues. It is located in a 13th century hall in the centre of Ghent. The stunning combination of the midieval and modern architecture and it’s secret gardens make it a must-see for visitors to Ghent. You won’t find a better way to spend your day than an afternoon visit to the STAM city museum (on the opposite side of the garden), having dinner in our Bistro and attend a concert by a world-renowed orchestra in the unique architectural setting of De Bijloke.
You can buy your tickets online on this website and pay with credit card. The online ticketing interface is in Dutch.
You can call our box office to make your reservation +32 (0)9 269 92 92 (monday-friday 10-17h). Our staff will be happy to help you in Dutch, English or French. Credit cards are also accepted for phone reservations. And of course it’s also possible to visit our ticketing desk during opening hours.
De Bijloke can be easily reached by public transport, on foot/bike or by car. The concert hall is part of a historical site which has 3 main entrances.
The Bijloke located at the south edge of the city centre, a 20 minute riverside walk away from Korenmarkt. De Bijloke provides a dry and secure bike parking space.
From Korenmarkt or Ghent-Sint-Pieters railway station there are tram lines 1 (stop Van Nassaustraat or Verlorenkost) and 4 or 24 (stop Bijlokehof).
From W. Wilson square it’s best to use bus line 6 (stop Bijlokehof of Bijloke)
Ghent’s largest railway station, Sint-Pieters, is at about 1km. A 15 minute walk or a short tram ride.
The historic site does not have a parking lot. There’s limited public parking in the streets around the historical site, but we recommend using one of the large underground city parking lots at walking distance.
The Concert halls at the Bijloke are accessible for wheelchairs. Please notify the box office when booking your tickets so we can provide one of our wheelchair spaces.
